Feed

I'm starting to like Feed a little more as the book goes on. I do still find it hard to understand the characters lingo at times. Overall I would say the storyline is hard to follow because it just jumps from one thing to another. I find it weird that many of the characters think that cutting them selfs is sexy. I wonder how can doing self-harm be the " it thing". At the start of the story, I was unsure what lesions were until the characters started describing in details. In a way, it seemed like the girls were in competition with each other on who could have the most lesions. Personally, I think the idea of self-harm as a dumb trend, and I am glad this trend is only in the book. Another thing I find strange is that the characters don't listen to music out loud, but will all be listening to the same song on their feed. To me, that is pointless why not just listen to the music out loud if everyone is already listening to the same song. Violet's situation is terrible, I especially feel bad for her since she got a virus the first time she went to the moon. I hate the fact the that Violet is the only character suffering long-term effects of the virus. Personally Violet is my favorite character because she is the only one who is different. I love the fact she was home schooled, she knows how to write with paper, and pen, she isn't completely obsessed with the feed, unlike the other characters. Violet is okay with talking out loud instead always depending on the feed, and she knows how to think outside of the feed. Feed is definitely something that I'm not use to reading but it is starting to grow on me.

  1. I agree with the story line being hard to follow, the parts that would trouble me the most was the dialogue, it's easy to get lost with who's talking.
